Human handoff
Yamidoo answers what it can and lets a visitor reach your team when they need a person — so no one hits a dead end. Handoff is a toggle in the dashboard (on by default).
How it works
Section titled “How it works”When a visitor asks to talk to a human, the conversation is flagged as waiting for your team and your agents are notified in the Yamidoo dashboard in real time (with an optional browser notification). An agent opens the conversation — with the full transcript already there — and replies live in the same chat the visitor is using.
When your team is online vs. away
Section titled “When your team is online vs. away”The widget knows whether an agent is currently online:
- Online — the visitor sees a “Talk to a human” option and gets a live reply in the chat.
- Away — the visitor is invited to leave their email (via contact capture) so your team can follow up. If nobody picks up in time, Yamidoo lets the visitor know your team will get back to them.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Handoff requests surface inside the dashboard (live updates plus browser notifications for signed-in agents). There are no external integrations today — so no Slack, email inbox, or help-desk forwarding. Handling happens in Yamidoo.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Improve your content so fewer questions need a person — see Answering from your content.
- Tune contact capture and handoff options in Customizing the widget.
