Help Scout integration
Yamidoo for Help Scout
Every email that lands in your Help Scout inbox gets a reply drafted from your site: docs, FAQs, product pages and, if you let it, the customer’s own orders and licenses. Your team opens the ticket and the answer is already written. Send it, edit it, or let the confident ones go out on their own.
- Drafted in seconds, inside the ticket
- Sources listed in a private note
- Nothing is sent without you, unless you say so
- Requires
- A Help Scout account
- Setup
- Two minutes, in the dashboard
- Plans
- Plus and Pro
- Sent by AI
- Only if you turn it on
What it does
Your team reads and clicks Send
- The repeat questions — licenses, refunds, compatibility, “where do I find…” — arrive with the answer already written from your docs
- An agent handles the ticket in the time it takes to read the draft, not to write one
- Each draft costs one conversation on your plan. No per-seat fee, no add-on
Answers from the customer’s own account
- Connect WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads or Freemius and the draft reads the sender’s orders, licenses and subscriptions, matched by their email
- “Why is my key expired?” gets the real reason: the subscription that lapsed, the payment that was refunded, the key on too many sites
- Optional and off by default. License keys are never quoted, and the record is skipped when a conversation has CC recipients
Send the confident ones on their own
- Pick a confidence bar. Replies grounded in your content and above it are sent and tagged
yamidoo-replied - Everything else stays a draft for a human, exactly as in draft mode
- Start in draft mode, read a week of drafts, then switch it on for the inbox that gets the easy questions
Reads like your team wrote it
- Greeting, closing and signature settings, the same options as Help Scout’s own AI Drafts. Reply as any user in your account
- The instructions and behaviour you set for the chat widget apply to email too. One brain, two channels
- A private note on each conversation with the confidence score and the pages the draft came from
What your team sees
A customer writes in. By the time an agent opens the conversation, the draft is in the reply editor and the note is under it. A made-up customer, a real draft from a store with the customer data switch on.
From: Jane Cooper <jane@example.com>
Subject: why is my license key expired?
Hi, my Inspiro license key says expired in WordPress. Why? I thought I paid for it.
Hi Jane,
Your Inspiro yearly license is active until December 3, 2026, so the key itself is fine. The expired message is most likely coming from a different product: your All Access Pass expired on March 29, 2026, and its key is still entered on the site.
Open WPZOOM → License Key in your WordPress dashboard and check which key is there. If it is the All Access Pass key, replace it with the Inspiro key from the Licenses page of your account and click Save & Activate. If you would rather renew the pass, reply here and I will send you the link.
Best regards,
The WPZOOM team
Yamidoo drafted a reply (confidence 74%).
Used the customer’s account record (orders, licenses, subscriptions) matched by their email address.

Two minutes, in the dashboard
Nothing to install and no workflow to build in Help Scout. Yamidoo registers its own webhook once you paste the app credentials.
- 1
Create an app in Help Scout
Click your avatar → Your profile → My Apps → Create My App. Name it Yamidoo and use https://app.yamidoo.ai as the redirection URL. Help Scout shows an App ID and an App Secret.
- 2
Connect it in Yamidoo
Open your project → Integrations → Help Scout, paste both values and click Connect. Yamidoo checks them, reads your inboxes and registers the webhook for you.
- 3
Pick inboxes and save
Switch on the inboxes to draft for, choose who the reply is from and how it opens and closes. The next email that arrives gets a draft.
Each drafted reply counts as one conversation against your plan, the same as a chat. Replies from your team, notes, and conversations in inboxes you did not switch on are ignored.
Before you connect
- How is this different from Help Scout’s own AI Drafts?
- Help Scout drafts from your past replies and your Help Scout Docs. Yamidoo drafts from your whole website — product pages, documentation, FAQs, pricing — and from the customer’s own store record, and it can send the confident ones. The two can run side by side; Yamidoo’s draft is the one waiting in the editor when the ticket opens.
- Does it ever send an email on its own?
- Not unless you switch on auto-send for an inbox. In draft mode nothing leaves Help Scout without a person clicking Send. With auto-send on, only replies grounded in your content and above the confidence bar you set go out; the rest are drafts.
- What if the answer is not on my site?
- The draft says so, asks for what the team would need (the purchase email, an order number) and promises to follow up. The note flags it as low confidence so the agent reads it before sending. Nothing is invented.
- Can someone get another customer’s data by spoofing their email?
- The reply goes to the conversation’s customer address, so a forged sender never sees it. When a conversation carries CC or BCC recipients, or the latest message came from a different address than the customer, the draft is written without the account record and the note says why. License keys are never shown to the AI in full.
Your site already has the answers
Yamidoo puts them in front of the person asking, in the chat and in the inbox. One script tag, free to start, no credit card.
