Cookie & Storage Notice

The cookies and browser storage used by yamidoo.ai, the Yamidoo dashboard, and the chat widget — and why no consent banner is needed.

Last updated

This notice lists everything Yamidoo stores in your browser, across our three surfaces. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere, which is why you won't see a consent banner: everything below is either strictly necessary to make the thing you asked for work, or is cookieless.

The chat widget (on our customers' websites)

The widget runs inside our customers' sites. It uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) so it can't be read by other websites, and stores only what is needed to keep a conversation going:

NamePurposeLifetime
yamidoo_sidRandom session identifier — links your messages into one conversation across pages.Persistent, until cleared
yamidoo_cid:*Your current conversation on that site, so it reopens after a reload.Until the conversation ends
yamidoo_contact, yamidoo_contact_emailWhether you've given your name/email, and the email you typed — so we don't ask twice and can prefill the "send me a transcript" form.Persistent, until cleared
yamidoo_config:*Cached widget appearance so it renders instantly on the next page.Persistent, refreshed each visit

Website owners can call yamidoo('logout') to clear everything the widget stored, and you can clear it yourself via your browser's site-data settings.
